This is a great Japanese Stir Fry restaurant they also have sushi

I tried to give this place another chance even after I found a hair in my food, but the disrespect from some of the staff is a deal breaker. During this time, I try to support local businesses, and I will continue... elsewhere.

Food is amazing...each and every time I go!!

My favorite place for a Japanese food fix. Good prices and friendly employees. Best part is they have a membership card which records your purchases and when reaching 1000 points, you get a free meal on them. It's not hard to reach those points because their food is good.Locals keep coming back!

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars, I would. I ordered a spider roll, and it was not a spider roll. It was a roll dipped in terrible tasting orange sauce, and it was not wrapped in nori. This is not real sushi, but it is sold at Cali sushi prices. I did receive my money back. I also had to go to the counter to receive the water I ordered. Terrible customer service, and no crafters present. The soup tasted like watered-down Campbell's soup. Not my thing for sure. See the attached image to see the original Yelp review.

Okay the only reason i am not doing a 5 star rating is because this.....this place used to be the best and they used to give good size portions, but they have downsized their togo boxes and also downsized on their sauce containers. Everything has gotten thinner the box height and size has turned miniature and the sauce cups got chopped in half as well. And the bad thing is, they charge just as musch as miyabi jr express and they dont give you anywhere close to the amount of food they do. I just dont get it. This is good enough to eat until Miyabi Jr. Express opens back up. And the wasabi is not spicy at all actually tastes like nothing.

One of the best hibachi places in Myrtle Beach! Portions are great and the food is great. My all time favorite is the chicken teriyaki. Mon Cafe never disappoints

Me and my daughter order a large meal together while they were busy, food came quick, tasted great, and a small thanks to the staff, appreciate the kindness.

In 19 years, we have NEVER had a bad meal at this restaurant. The Hibachi dinners are delicious with very generous helpings, the sushi selection and freshly prepared. And the owner is always there making sure it is just right!

We LOVE this restaurant. Great food, reasonable prices and super friendly service. We tried this location for the first time, and then accidentally came across the location in Sumter. Both are delicious and fun. Try it! We are fans!

Asked for steak to be cooked medium, both of our steak was as tough as shoe leather, asked for extra mayo sauce and didn’t even receive enough to eat with our meals. Waited patiently for our food because it took a very long time, and paid $30.00 for almost inedible entrees. Serious disappointment

We visit myrtle beach multiple times a year. We always eat here at least once each visit. The food is so fresh and tasteful plus you get large portions. I am part Japanese and am very picky about my Asian food and this place passes the test.

Mon Cafe is a great place to get an inexpensive tasty Japanese shrimp or chicken bowl! Always enjoying stopping by to get one.

This place was really good. My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch and we were truly impressed. The food was great and the service was also. We will definitely be eating here when we visit MB in the future.

I occasionally go to eat here with my dad and have done so for more than a decade. I can honestly think of no other place you can go to where the quality control, care for the customer, standards in the dining area and kitchen and the friendly atmosphere that the owner of this restaurant exudes is just on a stellar level that is so rare to find in a business nowadays. This owner genuinely cares that you have the best experience you could possibly have in his establishment, and leads his team by example. As for the food, I have eaten their bowl specials and tempura, and some of their sushi. I have not had everything there but what I did have was amazing. Absolutely no complaints. It will not affect my review of this place, but a suggestion I would like to make: I think the condiment station could use a bit of a face lift. Thank you to the owner and his staff for providing such a wonderful place for my family and I to enjoy. Thanks.

This is one of the best hibachi places around. The people are always so friendly and my order is never wrong. The food is fresh and neat. They really go out of the way to make sure they do what they need.

Nori and his crew are always awesome. You cant ask for better cooked food or friendlier people. Only suggestion is add a drive through! Hahahaha

Had the teriyaki chicken bowl. Jr size was perfect size for lunch. The food was very tasty, but the chicken could have been more tender.

Best Japanese restaurant, hands-down. The owner is so involved and the employees are friendly. Ask for the card, because for every dollar you get a point. After 100, you get $10 off next time. Right now he is giving $5 off for cardholders one time in January.The food is fantastic and the restaurant is clean.

Amazing food, staff, and atmosphere for a quick bite to eat or relax. The menu above the counter has plenty to choose from along with special board on the counter. They also offer deliveries. The owner is quite nice and is from Osaka, Japan. Definitely will leave with satisfaction.

The best Japanese food in area. Have been eating here for years. Owners were our favorite chefs at nearby Japanese steakhouse many years ago. Always clean! Great staff!

Teriyaki chicken bowl is always great. Plenty of food for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend trying Mon. Also, the filet bowl with teriyaki chicken added to it is great.

I ordered the steak, shrimp, and teriyaki chicken entree. I placed this order to go. The food was absolutely horrible. The chicken was reheated and old from the taste. The crunchy crab roll had no flavor to the point you couldn't even taste the spicy mayo which is saying alot. I had high hopes for this establishment but unfortunately will never return . Sorry I wasted $41.00 on it.

This was surprisingly good. My expectations weren't high going here. The California roll and hibachi veggies were delicious. The bowls are awesome..I 'd choose steak over the chicken though. Prices are pretty good and yum-yum sauce fantastic.

Excellent service and food. My family got the 3 mix dinner plate, California roll, spicy tuna roll, chicken bowl, some kind of steak and onion bowl, & some other stuff. Everyone loved the food. Definitely recommend this location over the other hibachi places in the area.
